Day 1

From Fes to Merzouga via Ziz Valley

Begin Your Journey from Fes: We'll collect you from your riad or hotel in Fes around 8:30 AM to commence your grand adventure southward. Ifrane – Morocco's "Little Switzerland": Our first stop is Ifrane, a quiet town renowned for its European-style architecture, tidy streets, and alpine charm. Situated in the Middle Atlas, its cool climate makes it a popular retreat. Azrou Cedar Forest – Among the Monkeys: Next, we'll travel deeper into the Middle Atlas to explore the expansive cedar forests near Azrou. Here, you will have the delightful opportunity to encounter the local Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Midelt – Lunch in the Mountains: We'll stop for a restful lunch in Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges. Famous for its fresh produce and stunning mountain views, Midelt is an ideal place to recharge before continuing our drive. Ziz Valley – Gateway to the Sahara: After lunch, we begin our descent into the Ziz Valley, a spectacular stretch defined by lush palm groves, towering cliffs, and ancient riverbeds. Erfoud & Rissani – Cultural Crossroads: Passing through Erfoud and its nearby town of Rissani, we enter the Saharan fringe communities, known for their date markets and deep desert culture. We will share insights into the historical significance of these towns along the old Moroccan trade routes. Merzouga – Edge of the Erg Chebbi Dunes: By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, the entry point to Morocco's tallest dunes. We will settle into your desert hotel, which offers stunning views of the golden sands of Erg Chebbi.

Day 2

Merzouga – Nomad Life & Desert Exploration

Sunrise Over Erg Chebbi: We'll start the day early to witness the magnificent sunrise over the sweeping dunes of Erg Chebbi. Visit to Nomadic Villages: We'll explore nearby villages, including Khamlia, where we'll meet the Gnawa communities and listen to their unique spiritual music. Nomadic Families: We'll visit authentic nomadic families living in traditional tents, sharing mint tea and learning about their lifestyle. Miffis Mines and Oasis: If interested, we can visit the ancient Miffis mines or a hidden oasis. Camel Trek and Desert Camp: In the late afternoon, we'll begin a camel trek across the dunes. We'll watch the sunset before arriving at our luxury desert camp for dinner, Berber music, and an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 3

From Merzouga to Todra Gorges

Sunrise and Return: Wake early for another breathtaking sunrise before returning to Merzouga by camel. Journey to Todra Gorges: After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and drive toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, passing through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. Todra Gorges: We arrive at the impressive Todra Gorges, where cliffs rise up to 300 meters. Enjoy a walk through the gorges along the river. Overnight: We settle into our hotel near the gorges for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

From Todra Gorges to Ouarzazate

Dades Valley: After breakfast, we drive through the Dades Valley, admiring the 'Monkey Fingers' rock formations. Valley of Roses: We continue through the Valley of Roses, famous for rose water production. Ouarzazate: We arrive in Ouarzazate, the 'Hollywood of Africa'. We'll visit the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Ait Benhaddou: We visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage ksar of Ait Benhaddou before returning to Ouarzazate for the night.

Day 5

From Ouarzazate to Marrakech

High Atlas Mountains: After breakfast, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views. Scenic Stops: We stop at viewpoints for photos and to admire Berber villages. Arrival in Marrakech: We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where we drop you off at your accommodation, concluding your 5-day tour.
